I found a diffuser that comes with 8 ArtNatural oils for $29! Seems like a great deal but I don’t know about these oils. Are they no good and that’s why they’re so cheap?
Great question! Yes, that’s exactly why they’re cheap. Usually the cheaper oils are filled with synthetics (impurities) and are not truly 100% pure (as the label leads you to think). Because there is more in the bottle than the pure essential oil, the price is much cheaper. They are able to get away with labeling it as “pure” because they used 100% pure oil to create it even though only 5% of the bottle may actually contain the “pure” essential oil.
Cheap oils like these can actually do more harm than good and won’t serve your wellness goals.
When purchasing essential oils, I encourage you to get 100% pure therapeutic grade which is the type of essential oil you want to use for wellness.
If you decide to go forward with these, please make sure to follow the instructions on the label and DO NOT ingest them unless they specifically say you can. There are many people that will see a blog about dropping peppermint into their water and do it without considering the oil they have available to them. Pure therapeutic grade essential oils with instructions for digestion should be the ONLY oils you use internally.
This bundle also comes with a diffuser so let me touch on that real quick…
The quality of your diffuser is just as important as the quality of your essential oils so it’s not something you want to skim on because it sends particles into the air that will end up in your lungs. If you use a cheap diffuser a couple things will happen.
- It’s likely to last you between a few months to a year, if that. My mom bought some cheap diffusers recently and now realizes that wasn’t such a good choice because they’re not working so well and she sees how well my medical grade diffuser works so she now wants a diffuser like mine. She’s not the only one this has happened to; I’ve had several friends go through the same experience. If you get a cheap diffuser from the start you’ll end up spending more money in the long run. Quality is always the better choice.
- Overtime the oils (especially citrus oils) will break down the plastic of the cheap diffuser. This means the toxins from the plastic will be diffused into the air and into your lungs. No bueno.
